ACADEMICS
Regular SAT (Stanford Achievement Testing) tests indicate and average yearly achievement of approximately 2 years above the National Percentile.
Hueneme Christian School uses 'ABeka' curriculum developed by Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida. ABeka curriculum is well known for its solid emphasis on academics while blending Biblical concepts and Christian principles of living into each subject.
Hueneme Christian School also offers classes to enrich challenge and extend the students' learning beyond the normal curriculum. We offer Computer Classes for K4 - 5th grade. In addition, each class enjoys several field trips each year. During the school year, fourth grade will go to San Juan Capistrano Mission and San Diego to study our State's history, fifth grade will go to a four day Science Camp to study the nature of our area, sixth grade will go to Catalina Island to study Oceanography and eighth grade will go to Washington, D.C. and New York City to study our Nation's History.
